With justifiable pride we look back to the successful 3rd EfCCNa and 27th Aniarti congress held on 9-11 October 2008 in Florence, Italy. We welcomed 2022 critical care nurses from 23 European countries and abroad. The scientific program was built on a body of evidence specifically for critical care nursing. With 115 oral papers and 101 poster presentations we celebrated the high quality research, the educational innovations, and the practical solutions that impacts on patient care. The unforgettable congress party, with 2000 dancing colleagues, was only one of the highlights during the congress days. By working together – achieving more we were able to continue in establishing a network to influence critical care nursing in Europe.
